Through natural migration and Immigrants, some Unova pokemon have come to Kanto (and vice versa).  Emolga, highly desired for their cuteness, affection, and skills were one of the first to be brought and consequently irresponsibly released into the wild.  These wild ones absolutely love nesting in the high rafters of the local power plant; however, due to cross breeding with the local Pikachu, conservationists are concerned about Emolga slowly losing their ability to fly.  Emolchu (as they've affectionately been nicknamed) are recognizable by their Pikachu like camouflage coats and exceptionally large ears.
