Alright guys. First of all, there's something you should know about me. Well, a couple of things actually. One, I love anime. I do. And two, I live in the middle of freakin' nowhere, in Utah of the US.
For the last couple years (not this year, too broke for it, but the last 2), I have attended the closest anime convention that I could--a little local one called Fannatiku Fest (Too far from Salt Lake City, too far from Vegas. Right in the middle). They are tiny. We're talking microscopic here. But they do their best to accommodate, by renting a hotel convention room and getting in some vendors, planning activities, all that.
Well, this year, apparently some jack wad stole the hotel's projector. Now, since the dear people at Fannatiku were the last ones there using it, it's fallen on them to replace it. You have to understand how big of a blow this is. They don't make a whole lot at this con. Everything they make goes back into next year's con. Basically, this hasn't necessarily KILLED next year's con, but it makes everything a lot less fun, for sure. Not to mention the sullied reputation at the hotel.
I know a lot of you aren't in my region. But if you have an extra 5 bucks, and are looking to help out a tiny convention, it would be spectacular, and mean a lot to the tiny, but well-knit anime community that the convention represents. If you can't, at the very least, please spread this to your journals. All you gotta do is copy paste even, and it would be helpful!

And yeah...living in a smaller area makes it difficult. >.< For us, it's always gonna be a drive (I mean, Fannatiku is still an hour drive for me).
